How do we eliminate duplicate records pulling into search results?

Tried to see if this was already addressed. I pulled 676 Library links with a search for "Michael Fries". At least a third and probably almost half, were duplicates, triplicates, etc. of a previous record link. The website works so well that there must be a way to eliminate the extras. Many thanks!

Are you filtering the results by Family Trees or Archives?

In Family Trees results, the same person may appear multiple times if events occurred in different locations. It seems that at least some people named Michael Fries were born, married and died in different towns, making them appear once for each event.

In Archives results, it seems due to the fact that a document may have been indexed by multiple partners or, in case of FamilySearch, that it is in their database multiple times.

Thank you for the response, sorry to take so long to get back to you. I was searching in the Archives.

Maybe there's a way to note that you've already opened the link so that it drops off the search results?
