GeneaNet, what is it?
In GeneaNet, you have « Genea » and « Net ».
« Genea », is the abbreviation for Genealogy. What is genealogy? It's a science consisting of searching our ancestors, starting from myself, my parents, grand-parents, grand-grand-parents, etc.
« Net », obviously stands for the internet.

GeneaNet is a worldwide database (over 298 998 456 references to this date) fed by genealogists who put the fruit of their searches. More ancestors are referenced on GeneaNet, and more chances you get to find your own. Because, as everyone knows, and this is confirmed everyday on our website: we are all cousins !
