3 Tips for Creating and Viewing Your Geneanet Email Alerts

As much as possible, we will post blog notes to answer your most frequently asked questions about using Geneanet.

1. How to create your Email Alerts by Last Name?

Receive a weekly email summary of the latest entries and grow your family tree!

Click ‘Email Alert by Last Name’ in the drop-down menu at the top right of the screen, then click ‘Create a New Email Alert’.

Fill in the form, then click ‘Save’.

You can also make a search in the Geneanet database, then click ‘Create a New Email Alert’ at the bottom of the search results list.

2. How to create your Email Alerts by Individual (Premium members)?

Receive a weekly email summary of the latest entries and grow your family tree!

Click ‘Email Alert by Individual’ in the drop-down menu at the top right of the screen, then click ‘Create a New Email Alert’.

Fill in the form, then click ‘Save’.

You can also make a search in the Geneanet database, then click ‘Create a New Email Alert’ at the bottom of the search results list.

If you have a Geneanet family tree, you can automatically create Email Alerts from a selection of individuals in your family tree.

Click ‘Email Alert by Individual’ in the drop-down menu at the top right of the screen (as shown above), then click the ‘Configure Automatic Email Alerts’ tab.

3. How to view your Email Alerts?

You can view the latest entries by clicking the links given in your weekly email summary, but you can also view the history of these results on Geneanet.

Click ‘Email Alert by Last Name’ or ‘Email Alert by Individual’ in the drop-down menu at the top right of the screen.

Just select the list you want to view again.
