It is difficult to help you because you do not give any date. When did he go to NY ? even if approximate it would help a lot.
Have you looked at the New york censuses? that would help you to narrow the date or if you know he was 17, when was he born ?

Il y a d'autres baptemes plus tardifs ce qui est toujours possible pour un bapteme. Difficile de savoir lequel est le votre. Le plus sur serait de trouver le centre mormons (Latter day saints family centre) le plus proche de chez vous oú vous pouvez commander le film des registres de Oldham et les étudier vous-meme. Ca ne coute pas tres cher mais ca peut prendre du temps. Ces registres anglais ne donnent pas le nom de jeune fille de la mere... Le deuxieme enfant est peut-etre né illégitime ? ne donne-t-il pas le nom de ses parents au mariage ??

I am French but I live in London and I have free access to the English censuses.
I have just looked at your John Bulley (my husband has Bulley ancestors but thei lived in Great Yarmouth). In the 1861 census he says he was born in Great Amwell, Hertfordshire. You could order a copy of the film of these parish registers from any Mormon Family Centres and see who were his parents but usually in English records, the surname of the mother is not given at baptisms, only her first name.

I also looked at Alfred's baptism where the date of birth is given as 5th February... I have an idea of the reason. If you have the birth certificate for Alfred, at waht date was his birth registered ?
If it is easier we can continue in French...

There is an Andrew Joseph de Visme (sans s) born Sept quarter 1847 in Worcester Registration District. Are you sure of the Arthur But there is also a death for the same name (the baby or the father no age given) in 1851.
An Andrew Joseph de Visme married in 1842 in West bromwich reg. district. A Martha died in Worcester RD in 1853. They could be his parents ??

You can probably find them on the 1901 and 1911 census for England now online and indexed on Findmypast website.

Where did you get the copies of the wills ? Does it say at the end that the will was "proven" somewhere ? If so, you have the probate which includes the copy of the will> If not try to contact the corresponding Probate Registry Office> put these 3 words on Google to find addresses. Good luck.

where was your mother born??? Did her parents marry in England or in Italy ? you need to find that wedding to get more details.
There are several Percy ALEXANDER born in England between 1900 and 1920. It is difficult to know which one is yours without more details

In the national indexes for England, I cannot find a Robert Thompson with the details you have. There is one in 1992 but his mother's maiden name is Hammonds.
I could not find either a marriage of Elizabeth Fyfe to a Mr. Cattanach. or an Elizabeth Cattanach to a Tompson. Nothing fits the details you give. Sorry.

Is it Turner or Turney you are looking for ? What documents do you have let's say between 1419 and 1550 ?
If it is TURNEY, I think you should rewrite your message with the correct spelling in the title,

Try to look at www.1911census.co.uk to see the families when the dads possibly were still alive but it costs 3,50 £ to see an image.
